Dance Department Chair and Dance Instructor
Mingye Liu obtained his B.F.A. in Classical Chinese Dance from Fei Tian College. He has taught classical Chinese dance in England, France, Germany, and the United States, and has choreographed award-winning dance pieces, which his students performed in competitions such as the International Dance Challenge Competition. Before becoming a dance instructor, he performed in over 800 shows around the world with Shen Yun Performing Arts, and was a principal dancer in Shen Yun’s production of The Monkey King.
At a young age, Mingye Liu trained in traditional Chinese martial arts (wushu). Before studying classical Chinese dance, he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering, graduating with honors, after which he turned his attention to more artistic pursuits, completing studies in classical Chinese dance at the New York-based Fei Tian Academy of the Arts and Fei Tian College. Siya Yang teaches folk and ethnic dance at Fei Tian Academy of the Arts, and is currently a choreographer with Shen Yun Performing Arts.
A graduate from the Minzu University of China in Beijing, Ms. Yang specialized in dance choreography and education. In 1996, she competed in the Taiwan Ethnic Dance Competition (adult division) and received first place (classical Chinese dance category) and second place (ethnic dance category). In 1999, she founded the Gin-Hwa Dance Group (Taiwan), served as both company manager and artistic director, and led the company in attending both national and international competitions. These included the Special Award, and the Yuan Ding Award from the 6th Tao Li Cup Competition in mainland China; the highest honor of international cultural exchange, and second place (adult division) in Kitakyushu’s 8th International Dance Competition; the 28th Flying Phoenix Dance award from Taiwan’s National Dance Society of China; and gold in two categories (classical Chinese dance and ethnic dance) for the adult group division in Singapore’s 2006 International Dance Competition.firstname.lastname@example.org
Gu Xuan is a choreographer with Shen Yun Performing Arts, and has been teaching at the New York-based Fei Tian Academy of the Arts since 2011.
Mr. Gu has been dancing from a young age. He graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy with specialization in folk and ethnic dance, but also received professional training in classical Chinese dance, as well as other dance styles. Gu Xuan went on to perform with multiple dance troupes, and participated in several world tours with Shen Yun Performing Arts. He is an experienced choreographer and a passionate dance instructor, and has been teaching Chinese dance overseas for over ten email@example.com
Alison Chen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Classical Chinese Dance, and graduated cum laude from Fei Tian College in New York.
Ms. Chen began specializing in classical Chinese dance at the Fei Tian Academy of the Arts. In 2008, Ms. Chen won second place (junior female division) in New Tang Dynasty Television’s International Classical Chinese Dance Competition, second place in 2009, first place in 2010, second place in 2012, and third place (adult female division) in 2014. Formerly a principal dancer with Shen Yun Performing Arts, Ms. Chen has participated in multiple world tours and performed for millions across the firstname.lastname@example.org
Xin Chen currently teaches classical Chinese dance at Fei Tian Academy of the Arts (Middletown campus). Before joining the Fei Tian dance faculty, Ms. Chen performed over 500 shows with the world-renowned Shen Yun Performing Arts, and has toured around Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Seongho Cha toured with Shen Yun Performing Arts as a Principal Dancer from 2009 to 2016, where he performed hundreds of shows in top venues worldwide. From 2002 to 2007, he was a Principal Dancer and instructor with Anaheim Ballet. He holds a BFA in dance from Point Park University, and an MFA in dance from the NYC Tisch School or the Arts. He came second place in New Tang Dynasty Television’s 2009 International Classical Chinese Dance Competition, and first place in the 2001 National Ballet Competition of Korea.firstname.lastname@example.org
Simon Jiang has danced in over 500 shows with Shen Yun Performing Arts, where he was given a wide variety of dynamic characters and roles, performing in major cities across Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. As a student, Mr. Jiang studied Classical Chinese Dance at both Fei Tian Academy of the Arts and later at Fei Tian College, where he focused on Dance Pedagogy. Yen Hsiu Chen
Yen Hsiu Chen comes from a family of Taiwanese artists: her mother is a professional singer and her brother a principal dancer. She has been with Shen Yun from 2008 to 2016, performing hundreds of shows in top venues worldwide. She pursued advanced studies in classical Chinese dance at the New York-based Fei Tian Academy of the Arts and Fei Tian College, where she acquired experienced in mentoring other students and assisting dance teachers. Ms. Chen is currently teaching dance at Fei Tian Academy of the Art in the Middletown firstname.lastname@example.org
