Fei Tian’s arts education is systematically organized by art form into different levels and different areas of training. Students receive instruction appropriate for their age and skill level, as determined through auditions and proficiency exams.

The goal of the dance education at Fei Tian Academy of the Arts is to revive and promote genuine, virtuous, and beautiful traditional Chinese dance in its purest forms.

Dance instruction at Fei Tian consists of three levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced, each of which is one to two years in length.

For each level, instruction is given in the following four areas:

  • Classical Chinese dance fundamentals
  • Flexibility and conditioning
  • Special techniques and tumbling
  • Repertory of classical Chinese dance, Chinese ethnic dance, and Chinese folk dance

The systematic organization of the dance education enables students to gradually master the profound skills and knowledge of Chinese dance.

Fei Tian Academy of the Arts also arranges performance opportunities for its students both in the local community and at professional venues so that students may gain valuable experience performing before live audiences.

Students studying dance also have the opportunity to explore various areas within the field of dance through course offerings in performance, choreography, instruction, and production technology.
